Skiing and Snowboarding Regions

All throughout the country of Japan, there are over 500 ski-jo that gives different choices to all who are interested in winter sports and activities. With a lot of choices, you probably will be confused or have difficulty in choosing where to go to have the best skiing and snowboarding experience for fun. There are popular regions for these winter sports or activities in Japan. They are even regarded as  great places. It would be good to seek help from travel agencies when visiting the country.

There are big ski resorts in the country. The known regions for ski-jo includes Hokkaido, Nagano, and Niigata. Even in Tohoku and in the central region, you can find many ski resorts. In terms of snow conditions, Northern Japan will be a  better location. Also, there are resorts located at higher altitudes. In the country, there is no problem in terms of transportation network. In the Hokkaido region, it is known to be the coldest having the most consistent snow. This is why many powder hunters go in this region.

Tiny ski hills can also be found in this region. And for this reason, the region is known to have the most ski-jo. In the Niseko area, you can find many resorts such as the Niseko Village Ski Resort and Niseko Grand Hirafu. In the Tohoku region, the resorts offer great snow conditions. Though this region is quite far from Tokyo, there are alternative ways to arrive in that region like Shinkansen trains and expressways.
